Bruce Shuler opened the doors to Mechanical Piping Systems, Inc. in November 1998. The company was founded on the belief that dependable service and quality work, as well as competitive pricing, are key ingredients to successful business.
MPS has experienced substantial growth while building an enviable reputation for competence, reliability, honesty and integrity in its business relationships. MPS is recognized and accepted as one of the leading companies performing environmental air conditioning, process cooling, heating, ventilation and refrigeration work.
The scope of activities performed by MPS has continually expanded to become a more complete HVAC mechanical contractor.
Services currently offered include, but are not limited to, all phases of controls, start-up, indoor air quality and preventive maintenance programs.

Construction Management Team
Bruce Shuler – President
Bruce is a Principal of Mechanical Piping Systems, Inc. and oversees all of the day-to-day operations of the company to include construction management, estimating, purchasing, accounting, and planning and development. Bruce has been in the mechanical construction industry for over 40 years and has over 30 years experience directly supervising major mechanical installations. He is familiar with all types of HVAC equipment and applications and oversees projects from the budgeting phase all the way through to project close out. He serves as a Project Executive and will ensure a successful completion on all of Mechanical Piping Systems’ endeavors.
Joe Hynes – Senior Estimator/Project Manager
Joe is the Senior Estimator/Project Manager for Mechanical Piping Systems, Inc. Joe received a B.S. in Mechanical Environmental Technology from the University of Houston in 1976. He is responsible for directing all preconstruction activities, project communications, purchasing, scheduling, and project administration. He has been in the mechanical construction and consulting engineering business for over 40 years and has served as Vice President, Division Manager, Senior Estimator, and Project Executive for numerous negotiated, design-assist, design-build, and plan and specification projects
Edward Sansom - Superintendent
Edward is a Superintendent for Mechanical Piping Systems, Inc. and has been with the company for over 11 years. He has 30 years experience working in the HVAC industry, with 18 years of direct supervision over mechanical construction and renovation projects. He has worked with all types of mechanical systems to include water and air cooled chilled water systems, electric and hydronic heating systems, absorption systems, direct expansion cooling systems, condenser water systems, energy recovery systems, etc. He is a valuable member of our construction team and provides unmatched support in our field operations.
